Eventhough I had already drawn the design for a mountainbike I figured a roadbike would be a simpler thing to learn building on. I anyway needed a new trainingbike for my trips to the Hook of Holland (hence the name) so this would be a nice test. As it would only see the flat Dutch landscape I decided to leave out the front derailleur and only use the big ring. The frame is built with non butted Columbus tubing, straight chainstays and a 1 1/8th headtube. The typical bridge between the seatstays holds the rear brake. All cables are internal and at the derailleur I made an eye in the seatstay for the cable. The frame has been spraypainted using basic 1k Motip paint.
